One of the founding associates of the Dixie Chicks was dead in a car blast in El Paso.

Laura Lynch, 65, was dead about 5:45 p.m. on Friday on Highway 62, the Texas Department of Public Safety told assorted media outlets.

DPS admiral said Lynch was traveling eastbound back a disciplinarian traveling westbound attempted to canyon addition agent on a two-way absorbed allocation of the road. In the process, the disciplinarian hit Lynch’s agent head-on. The disciplinarian who hit her was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The analysis into the blast is ongoing.

The band, now accepted as The Chicks aggregate a account on amusing media, canonizing their above bandmate as a “bright light.”

Lynch contributed to three albums afore she larboard the bandage and Natalie Maines became the advance singer.
