One of the founding associates of the Dixie Chicks was dead in a car blast in El Paso.
Laura Lynch, 65, was dead about 5:45 p.m. on Friday on Highway 62, the Texas Department of Public Safety told assorted media outlets.
DPS admiral said Lynch was traveling eastbound back a disciplinarian traveling westbound attempted to canyon addition agent on a two-way absorbed allocation of the road. In the process, the disciplinarian hit Lynch’s agent head-on. The disciplinarian who hit her was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The analysis into the blast is ongoing.
The band, now accepted as The Chicks aggregate a account on amusing media, canonizing their above bandmate as a “bright light.”
“Her actual talents helped actuate us above busking on artery corners to stages all beyond Texas and the mid-West. Our thoughts are with her ancestors and admired ones at this sad time,” the account reads in part.
Lynch co-founded the bandage with Robin Lynn Macy, Martie Erwin and Emily Erwin in 1989, as the cocked bassist and vocalist.
Lynch contributed to three albums afore she larboard the bandage and Natalie Maines became the advance singer.
